This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with cardiology experience to join a distinguished cardiovascular team, covering a full-time locum assignment on the Structural Heart Team during a maternity leave. In this role, you’ll work within a state-of-the-art facility, providing both inpatient and outpatient care to complex cardiac patients. This assignment begins in February and is structured for weekday coverage with no weekends, allowing for a consistent, balanced work schedule.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnostics, and treatments for patients with structural heart conditions under the supervision of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons.
Support patient care plans, including pre- and post-procedural management, patient education, and discharge planning.
Actively participate in treatment discussions, team rounds, and interdisciplinary coordination.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in Epic EMR.
Work collaboratively with an experienced team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Washington State or eligibility for licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
Certification as an NP, preferably with a focus in cardiology or acute care.
Minimum of 3 years of cardiology experience, with structural heart experience highly preferred.
Strong ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Proven background in cardiology or structural heart care.
Familiarity with Epic EMR is a plus, though not mandatory.
Prior locum or contract experience is beneficial but not required.

Working Hours

Setting: The role encompasses both outpatient clinic and inpatient settings.
Schedule: Monday–Friday with flexibility for either 8-hour shifts or a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule.
Support Staff: Work within a highly collaborative team, with access to skilled cardiology staff and resources.

This locum position offers a stable weekday-only schedule, with no weekend or on-call requirements. Immediate availability is preferred to meet the credentialing timeline for a February start.
