Cardiology Nurse Practitioner Needed
Nashville, TN – Music City USA

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a Cardiology practice in Nashville, Tennessee.

About the Position:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical exams, in the outpatient and/or inpatient setting.
  • Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate within the APP's scope of practice.
  • Assist in the management of patients with conditions such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary cardiology team to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Assist in procedures such as stress testing, catheterizations, or other interventional procedures, if applicable.
  • Provide patient education on cardiovascular risk factors, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
  • Participate in hospital rounds, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records using electronic health records (EHR).
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities related to cardiology.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Certification:
    • National certification in Family, Adult, Acute Care, or Cardiology (preferred).
    • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in cardiology preferred
    • Experience with EHR systems.
  • Skills:
    • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Work Environment:

  • Outpatient and/or inpatient clinical setting.
  • Occasional participation in on-call rotations may be required.
