OPEN POSITION:
Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology



SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- 40 Hours per Week
- No On-Call
- No Nights
- No Weekends


OFFICE HOURS:
- Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm
- Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Closed Weekends + Holidays


COMPENSATION:
- $130,000 to $150,000 Base Salary, dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner specializes in cardiovascular medicine and imaging, providing medical services in collaboration with cardiology physicians.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

- provide care for adult patients who have cardiovascular complaints and conditions
- conduct, record, and interpret stress test results
- conduct and supervise cardiac diagnostic testing
- obtain and document patient histories
- conduct relevant physical exams and evaluate patients, documenting pertinent findings
- order appropriate laboratory examinations or tests and interpret results
- establish diagnosis of cardiovascular ailments and formulate treatment plans
- assess patients’ responses to therapies
- diagnose and treat heart disease and manage chronic illness
- educate patients in regard to cardiovascular condition prevention and maintenance
- prescribe medication as needed
- collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care for patients
- attend staff educational programs and meetings

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon types of appointments scheduled.

All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.

The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.

This position has no weekends, no evenings, and no on-call.


REQUIREMENTS:
- New York NP license
- DEA
- 1+ year of cardiovascular medicine experience
