Cardiology - Pediatric Advanced Practitioner Position

We are seeking an outpatient Advanced Practitioner for our Cardiology Division. Under the direction of attending cardiologist and surgeons and practicing within developed Standardized Procedures and Process Protocols, the Advanced Practitioner role is to fulfill clinical and quality improvement programs supporting the CHOC Heart Institute. The Advanced Practitioner functions in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary cardiac team. Examples of job duties include assisting surgical staff with pre and post operative visits, patient and family education for high-risk cardiac patients, organizing our cardiac neurodevelopment program, developing new clinical pathways, overseeing cardiac nutrition clinic, and running multidisciplinary case conference. With a growing cardiac program, there are opportunities for new program structuring and development. Opportunities are available for inpatient cardiac intensive care shifts if interested.
The successful candidate will be a CA licensed with at least one year of experience in direct pediatric cardiac patient care. The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
