We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to help lead our Cardiology Team at Ball Memorial Hospital! This position will be a team lead role and will include both clinical and leadership responsibilities.

Position Details:

  • Full-Time, Day Shift
    • Monday-Thursday, 7:10am-6:00pm
  • No Call
  • 66% inpatient, 33% outpatient
    • Rotates - 2 weeks inpatient rounding and 1 week outpatient clinic
  • Patient population includes primarily middle-aged to elderly people with cardiovascular and thoracic pathology, including cancers, valve disfunctions and other cardiovascular diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical - duties will not change from current position.
  • Administrative -
    • About 10% of protected time (will vary depending on workload)
    • Coordinate onboarding for new hires, coordinate APP scheduling, collaborate with service line leadership to implement projects and program development, act as a communication liaison between service line and provider teams, coordinate opportunities for department CME opportunities, attend monthly provider meetings and arrange agenda topics for monthly APP meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree required
  • ACNP or PA certification required
  • 3+ years of APP Experience required
  • Internal candidates preferred
