  • Other Details: The facility which is trauma level 3 is looking for a provider to cover beeper call only. There are an average of 10 beds in the department. This position follows a medically supervised model with night and weekend beeper call coverage. Clinical shifts run from 7 AM to 5 PM, covering a range of cases, including OB, GYN, Ortho, GI, Scopes, and healthy pediatric cases. The facility is equipped with Draeger and Omnicell systems to support patient care.

Job Responsibilities

The provider will be responsible for delivering care under a medically supervised model, managing cases across OB, GYN, Ortho, GI, Scopes, and healthy pediatric patients. They will ensure safe and effective use of Draeger and Omnicell equipment while collaborating with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.

Skills

Preferred skills for this role include expertise in general anesthesia for adult, pediatric, neonatal, and trauma patients, as well as proficiency in spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia for various surgical procedures, including obstetrical, neurosurgical (head and spine), open-heart, thoracic (excluding open heart), complex vascular (excluding open heart), and complex orthopedic cases. The provider should be skilled in pain management techniques, including post-op epidurals, extremity blocks, epidural steroid injections for lumbar and cervical regions, and transforaminal procedures, utilizing X-ray guidance for block performance. Additional competencies include ventilation management, evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues, placement of central lines, arterial lines, and PA catheters, as well as CRNA supervision.
