$165,000
Call (Monday-Friday): $23/hour or $345 for 15 hours (5P-7A)
Call (Weekends and Holidays): 28.33/ hour or $680 for 24 hours (7A-7A)
Call Back: $105.77/hour
CME Funds: $3,500 (For license, DEA, Medical Staff dues, professional
memberships, registration and travel for conferences, virtual conferences, etc.)
Commencement Bonus: $25,000 (Paid on first pay date following hire (up to 17
days). Not a signing bonus
Projected Total Compensation: $228, 445
Schedule
Rotating schedule of 2 weeks on, 1 week off.
Monday through Friday:
Typically, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm or so – might be more or less based on caseload of the
day.
Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays:
Call only. See details in section below.
Post-call weekdays are scheduled work days, as overnights are generally light. If night
was busy, the post-call CRNA is the first one to be dismissed for the day to go home to
rest based on caseload and anesthetists staffing for the day
Schedule Weeks: 34 or 35 weeks per year (varies)
Unscheduled weeks: 17 or 18 weeks per year (varies) (for personal time, vacation, CME,
and Holidays combined)
Vacation: No formal vaca�on, holiday, or CME �me to take off as CRNA is already
scheduled to be off duty 1 week out of every 3 weeks. However, a CRNA’s biweekly pay
includes compensa�on for the number of clinical hours worked plus an addi�onal
payment (an “embedded credit”) to account for vaca�on �me, holidays, and CME.
Call Requirements
Shared call from home during weeks on service.
Approximate annual total:
• 34 or 35 Saturdays or Sundays
• 85 weekdays (including 1 or 2 holidays)
During the each 3-week cycle, on-call commitments are generally as follows:
• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday
• Week 3: off
AVH On-Call Policy requires CRNA’s to be able to respond in person to the hospital
within 30 minutes of notification of such need.
On-call for holidays assigned equitably and in rotation year to year consistent with
department policy.
However, generally holiday coverage will coincide with anesthetist’s 2 weeks on duty
(part of usual rotation).
Job Requirements
Candidates should have prior independent practice experience, proficiency with
ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, and be comfortable caring for obstetrics, adult,
and pediatric patients.
Prefer at least 3 years of prior experience. New graduates generally not considered due
to independent nature of anesthesia program at this Critical Access Hospital.
Comfortable with the required 2 weeks on, 1 week off rotating schedule.
