Functional Medicine Nurse Practitioner - Port St Lucie, FL - Full time

Shifts: M-F

Requirement: Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty area (Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner).

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing, to formulate individualized treatment plans.

Utilize functional medicine principles to identify underlying imbalances and dysfunctions in the body & systems.

Collaborate with patients to develop personalized treatment strategies focused on nutrition, lifestyle modifications, supplementation, and stress management techniques.

Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures as needed to support diagnosis and treatment planning.

Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within the scope of practice, emphasizing natural and integrative approaches whenever possible.

Provide patient education on functional medicine principles, empowering individuals to take an active role in their health and well-being.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida.

Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty area (Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner).

Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a focus on functional medicine.

Strong knowledge of functional medicine principles, including understanding of biochemical individuality, genetic predispositions, and environmental influences on health.
