Job Summary:

The Certified Nurse Midwife will provide comprehensive care to women including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecological care. The CNM will work collaboratively with our obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Job Responsibilities

Provide prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and well-woman gynecological care.
Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and manage labor and delivery.
Educate patients on childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.
Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities.
Provide support and guidance to nursing staff and other midwives as needed.

Qualifications

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program.
Current certification as a Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).
Active and unrestricted state RN and APRN licenses.
Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) is required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Midwife preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
