Well-established Women's Healthcare group is currently seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife to join the OB/GYN practice in a bedroom community to St Louis. Their midwifery program offers a Centering Group Prenatal Care program. The practice services a high volume of patients from both southern Illinois and Missouri.

The group is located 20 miles from ST Louis and offers a ton of cultural, educational and outdoor amenities. They have a regional and international airport within 25 minutes and are located minutes from Scott Air Force Base. There is easy access to both bus and rail linking the entire ST Louis and metro east areas. This community has the closest residential area to Scott AFB with many homes less than 1 mile from the main gate. It is a peaceful community with low crime rates, offering a wide range of residential lifestyles, from affordable homes to country estates. There are numerous colleges and universities in the area, and professional baseball, hockey & football are only minutes away. Enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, boating and all leisure activities. Because of its close proximity to St. Louis, you will have access to attractions such as the Zoo, Museums, Theaters, and the Gateway Arch.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
Examining and monitoring pregnant women
Assessing care requirements and writing care plans for patients.
Carrying out screening tests
Providing information, emotional support, and reassurance to patients as needed.
Monitoring and recording patient vital signs.
Caring for and assisting women during labor.
Monitoring and administering medication, injections, and intravenous infusions during labor
Monitoring the fetus during labor.
Advising about and supporting parents in the daily care of their newborn babies.
Helping parents to cope with miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and neonatal death
Ensure all patient records are up to date.
Identifying high-risk pregnancies.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Active license as a Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife
Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board
Active DEA Number
2+ years of experience working as a Nurse Midwife or as a Labor and Delivery Nurse
