Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Certified Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care to our patients. In this role, you will play a vital part in our healthcare team, delivering exceptional care while fostering a positive and supportive birth experience for women and their families.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide prenatal care to pregnant women, including routine prenatal visits, prenatal testing, and education on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care.
  2. Attend births as the primary provider, providing labor support, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, and facilitating a safe and empowering birth experience.
  3. Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including postpartum visits, breastfeeding support, and newborn care.
  4. Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated care for pregnant and postpartum women.
  5. Participate in on-call coverage schedule, providing first-call coverage for a minimum of 7 days per month.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research projects, and continuing education activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  8. Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and clinical protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Nursing with certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).
  2. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Texas.
  3. Clinical experience practicing as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
  4. Strong clinical skills and proficiency in providing prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women and newborns.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Commitment to delivering patient-centered care and promoting women's health and wellness.
  7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
