- Other Details: The role is part-time with a minimum 6-month commitment, offering 8, 10, or 12-hour weekday shifts depending on location—GI typically requiring 8-hour shifts and OR coverage needing 10 or 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible, hold active ACLS and BLS certifications, and have completed at least 200 cases and 425 anesthesia hours in the past 12 months. Indiana licensure is preferred but not required; IMLC candidates and those needing licensure will be accepted. New grads are not eligible. CRNAs are expected to work under a medically supervised model with an anesthesiologist supervising up to 5 CRNAs and must be comfortable handling high-volume cases in specialties such as GI, ortho, neuro, trauma, general surgery, and more. No OB or open heart procedures are involved. The EMR used is Epic, and the model is not solo practice—support staff includes OR nurses, OR techs, and patient care techs. Locums must correct medication errors in Epic within 24 hours to remain eligible to work.

Job Responsibilities
- Work under a medically supervised model with anesthesiologists supervising up to 5 CRNAs
- Perform a range of procedures in high-volume specialties including GI, ortho, neuro, trauma, urology, respiratory, and general surgeries
- Support daily assignments and coverage in GI or OR settings depending on the shift
- Ensure prompt correction of medication errors in Epic within 24 hours of notification
- Follow facility-specific start time and overtime protocols
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and credentialing standards
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience required
- Minimum of 200 cases and 425 anesthesia practice hours in the past 12 months
- Active ACLS and BLS certifications
- Indiana RN license or multistate/compact license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- No new graduates
- Prefer candidates with a clean background and no malpractice history
Working Hours
- Shifts include 8-hour (GI), 10-hour, or 12-hour (OR) options
- Minimum of 3 shifts per week preferred
- No on-call responsibilities
- Start date: July 7, 2025
- Long-term assignments of 6 months or more preferred
- Credentialing timeframe: 6–8 weeks
Skills
- Experience in a wide range of surgical procedures (e.g., laparoscopic, robotic, neuro, ortho)
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with supervising physicians
- Familiarity with Epic EMR and medication systems like Omnicell and Pyxis
- Quick adaptability to different facility settings and daily assignments
