Job Description
We are seeking Locum CRNAs to provide exceptional anesthesia care in a collaborative team environment. This position primarily involves performing cardiac procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, and electrophysiology (EP) cases. The facility follows an anesthesia care team model, and the CRNA will work in an inpatient setting.
This is an ongoing locum opportunity starting February , 2025, with shifts available Monday through Friday.
- Deliver general and regional anesthesia care for adult patients.
- Manage complex cardiac cases, including coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), valve surgeries, and EP procedures.
- Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues during procedures.
- Perform central line and arterial line placements.
- Provide ventilation management and post-operative pain management, including epidurals and extremity blocks.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals within an anesthesia care team model.
- Maintain documentation using Anescan EMR.
Job Responsibilities

Qualifications
Active Florida CRNA license – Required.
Minimum of one year of experience in cardiovascular anesthesia – Required.
Must reside more than 60 miles from ShorePoint Health Port Charlotte.
BLS and ACLS certifications – Required.
Experience with the following procedures and skills is highly preferred:
Cardiac and thoracic anesthesia
Complex orthopedic and vascular cases
Pain management techniques
Working Hours
No on-call requirements.
Scheduled clinical hours only.

Proficiency in managing complex surgical cases in a high-acuity environment.
Strong collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively within a care team model.
Competency in using EMR systems, specifically Anescan.
Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
