Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia team on a locum basis. The ideal candidate will provide safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. This temporary role requires a professional who is adaptable, proficient in anesthesia techniques, and capable of managing the anesthetic needs of patients in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work in a Level III Trauma Center.
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with MDs and CRNAs.
- Administer anesthesia to patients of various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Manage a variety of cases, including:
- General: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy
- Robotic: Gastric bypass, prostate surgeries
- Vascular: Endovascular aneurysm repair (Endo AAA), A-V fistulas, carotid artery endarterectomies (CAE)
- Orthopedic: Joint replacements, fractures
- Oncology: Mastectomies
- Urology: Cystoscopies
- Work with support staff including CRNAs, anesthesia techs (for machine turnovers), scrub techs, and POAs (for cleaning ORs).
- Charting: Paper charting (transition to EMR).
Qualifications:
- MA license – Required
- Board Certified – Required
- Clean background – Required
Working Hours:
- 5 shifts, 8 hours each
- Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
