We are seeking experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join our supportive team. CRNAs work under medical direction and are part of a collaborative, high-acuity environment. This role involves covering a wide variety of cases and opportunities for additional shifts or night work, as needed.
  • Harrisburg Hospital is not a trauma center but handles high-acuity cases.
  • Covers approximately 20 ORs, 3 L&D ORs, and multiple specialized labs.
  • Staff mix includes a 3:1 or 4:1 provider-to-location ratio.
  • Patient Mix: Adult-only (100%), with no pediatrics.

Job Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia for all subspecialties, including general, thoracic, neuro, ortho, GI/GU, GYN, and high-acuity OB/L&D.
Perform lines, epidurals, and spinals if previously experienced.
Participate in airway management and respond to codes during overnight shifts.
Work collaboratively with anesthesia techs, physicians, and nursing staff.
Contribute to a smooth operating room workflow with efficient turnover times (17-22 minutes, case-dependent).

Qualifications

Certification: ACLS, BLS, CPR required.
Licensure: Open to candidates with or without an active Pennsylvania license (assistance obtaining a license is available).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred.
Board Status: Board Certified.

Working Hours

Schedule: 7 AM–3 PM day shifts with potential opportunities for night shifts or extended hours.
Minimum Commitment: At least 5 days per month.
Estimated Shifts: Up to 14 per month, depending on availability.

Skills

Expertise in handling complex cases across multiple specialties.
Skilled in performing procedures such as epidurals and spinals.
Proficiency with EMR systems (EPIC experience preferred).
Strong teamwork and adaptability in high-pressure settings.
