Job Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesia services for patients across the health care continuum, including infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Coordinate peri-operative patient care in collaboration with all members of the health care team.
• Respond to staffing needs due to short staffing.
• Work primarily shifts of 8-10-12 hours, with opportunities to transition to longer shifts as desired.
• Maintain minimal call presence.
• Utilize a high degree of autonomy while enhancing skills.
• Participate in safety precautions, exposure management, and use of protective equipment.
• Engage in problem-solving and effective communication with patients and team members.
• Utilize EMR systems, specifically EPIC.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
• Completion of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Experience in anesthesia preferred; new graduates and final year students encouraged to apply.
• Ability to handle average-weight objects up to 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current Michigan Nursing and Specialty License (or willing to obtain).
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (or willing to obtain).
• Up-to-date COVID-19 and annual flu vaccinations.
• Clean malpractice and license history.
