We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CRNA to join our team on a locum tenens basis. The position involves providing high-quality anesthesia care in a dynamic inpatient setting. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a respected healthcare environment.
  • EMR System: Cerner.
  • Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 14 days; temporary privileges available.
  • Support Staff: RN, MA, and PA/NP assistance provided.
  • Travel and lodging recommendations available upon request.

Job Responsibilities

Administer general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia to adult and pediatric patients.
Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative anesthesia care, including pain management and block techniques.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, patient-centered care.
Utilize ventilation management and invasive monitoring techniques, such as arterial and central line placement.

Qualifications

Licensure: Active Georgia or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license.
Certification:
ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
Board certification or eligibility in Nurse Anesthesia.
Experience:
Expertise in general and regional anesthesia techniques.
Proficiency in managing complex surgical cases, including thoracic, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures.
Preferred: Experience with obstetrical anesthesia and pediatric anesthesia.

Working Hours

Scheduled clinical hours only (no call responsibilities).
Typical patient load: approximately six patients per shift.
Bed capacity in the anesthesia department: 16.

Skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Advanced knowledge of anesthesia principles and procedures.
Skilled in pain management, postoperative care, and x-ray guided block techniques.
