We are seeking two experienced and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide anesthesia services to a Regional Medical Center in Alaska. This role includes a mix of outpatient and inpatient procedures, working with a multidisciplinary team in a Level 4 Trauma Center. This is a transition management locum tenens opportunity , with an ongoing schedule.
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient.
  • Trauma Level: Level 4 Trauma Center.
  • Pediatric Level: 0.
  • Surgical Types: General, OB, and regional anesthesia (no cardiac, complex vascular, or neuro cases).
  • Lodging: Assistance available; recommendations include Airbnb and Best Western.

Job Responsibilities

Administer general anesthesia to adult patients in various surgical settings.
Provide anesthesia services for OB and regional anesthesia cases.
Collaborate with the surgical team to develop individualized anesthetic plans.
Utilize paper charting to document patient care and procedures accurately.
Maintain readiness to perform in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Qualifications

Certification: CRNA certification required.
Licensing: Active licensure is required; licensing costs reimbursed.
Experience:
Proficiency in general anesthesia and OB cases.
Pediatric, trauma, and neonatal anesthesia experience preferred.
Certifications: ACLS required; BLS and PALS are not required.
Credentialing Timeframe: 45 days for clean applications.

Working Hours

Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only.
Holiday Coverage: Rotating schedule for holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day).
