**Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opening in NC**
Located in Clinton, NC, our hospital has served its community since 1950 and is now one of only a handful of independent, community-based hospitals remaining in North Carolina. The healthcare facility serves as an academic training center for medical students, interns, and residents. Accredited by The Joint Commission, the system offers a range of medical services including acute care, outpatient surgery, emergency and critical care, and women's health and children's services. Specialties include general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics & gynecology, and urology. The system provides valuable outpatient services such as physical therapy and diagnostic imaging in state-of-the-art centers, and a network of physician practices that include primary care, women's health, general surgery, pain management, and urgent care.
Hours - This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical working hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:00pm. Rotating weekday and weekend on-call will be required.
Description:
The selected applicant, under the medical supervision of a staff anesthesiologist, will be responsible for providing anesthesia services to patients in accordance with the hospital policies and procedures and practice within professional anesthesia standards and in compliance with the Nursing Practice Act. Additional CRNA responsibilities include covering OB for C-Sections, labor epidurals, and deliveries when necessary. Also covers hospital for surgical cases, difficult intubations, difficult IV starts, arterial line placement, spinal taps, and available as a consult, if needed.
Requirements:
Graduate of a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the AANA Council of the Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs or its predecessor.
Minimum of 3 years' experience with some experience in regional anesthesia preferred
Must hold current North Carolina Nursing License and current certification or recertification from the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetist.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
PALS certification and difficult airway course highly recommended.
