Typical Day: 0630 Start Time, "Wheels in" OR Target is 0710. Team-Based Approach with MD and CRNA +/- SRNA in Training Program.
Assignments Will Be for Hands on Anesthesia Care in the OR/Off-Site locations with Rotation to Provide Break/Lunch Coverage
Typical Cases: Mix Over a Variety of Service Lines that Range from elective to complex acute care. Heavy caseload of orthopedics, complex urology, surgical oncology, neuro, vascular and cardiac.
Procedures:
Ortho: Total joint replacement/revision, Ortho Oncology
Plastics: breast, abdominal, cosmetic, functional, wound management
Neuro: ACD, Lumbar microdiscectomy, spinal fusion, kyphoplasty, brain biopsy, craniotomy/spine for tumor
ENT: laryngoscopy, neck dissection, thyroidectomy, tracheostomy, reconstruction
Cardiac: CABG, Valve Replacement, Aortic reconstruction, DHCA, Redo procedures
Vascular: AV Fistula, Fem tib/pop bypass, CEA and stents, AAA repair (endo and open)
General: Intrabdominal, breast, hernias, laparoscopic, colon, mass excision
Urology: cysto, nephrectomies, prostatectomies, robotic, nephrolithotomy
Thoracic: Robotic, VATS, bronchoscopy, wedge resection, lobectomy, pneumonectomy, EGD/EBUS, Nissen; Surgical Oncology: liver, colon, wide excision melanoma, HIPEC (Chemoperfusion), gastrectomy
GI: endoscopy, colonoscopy, EUS, ERCP
Ep Lab: pacemakers, ICD devices, nodal ablations
Radiology: MRI, Interventional Radiology, CT scan, radiation oncology
Other Specialties Onsite: Service Lines include Orthopedics, Plastics, Neuro (spine, intracranial), Cardiac, Urology, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, General Surgery, Vascular, ENT, GI, EP Lab, MRI, CT Scan and Interventional Radiology
