HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is looking for a Chief CRNA who is passionate about high quality patient care and leading a team committed to excellence, at our Memorial Health University Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center in beautiful Savannah, Georgia.

This dynamic team has been growing over the past year since transitioning to a hospital employed model and is thriving under strong, supportive leadership. The opportunity is open due to the promotion of our site chief to a Divisional Chief APP role. Mutual respect, collaboration, and a genuine love of providing outstanding patient care are at the core of the Anesthesia department.

As the Chief CRNA, you will support and supervise a dedicated group of outstanding anesthesia professionals. You will also play a pivotal role in aligning facility goals with divisional objectives while ensuring optimal patient care delivery. Ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational and proven leadership skills.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop continuous performance improvement and risk management programs.
  • Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, and credentialing requirements.
  • Lead educational initiatives to meet APP continuing education needs.
  • Maintain efficient perioperative workflow and oversee scheduling.
  • Collaborate with leadership to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff APPs, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts for quality APPs in collaboration with recruitment teams.
  • Maintain readiness for regulatory inspections and evaluations.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
Highlights of Opportunity/Qualified Candidates:
  • Anesthesia Care Team Model of 18 General Anesthesiologists including 3 CV Anesthesiologists and 54 APPs covering 27 sites of service
  • Diverse mix of cases including Trauma, Cardiac, Complex Neuro/Spine, OB/GYN, General, Orthopedics, Urology, GI and Pediatrics
  • Annual surgical volume 24,000+ cases and 3000+ OB cases
  • Flexible, 40 hours per week schedule of 8/10/12/16 hour shifts available. Shift differentials may apply.
  • Beeper call from home, 1 weekday shift 7p-7a per month and 1 weekend beeper call shift either Saturday or Sunday, from 7a-11p every 5-6 weeks. $240 to carry the beeper. Call back rate is $160/hour with a min. of 2 hours call back pay.
  • Practice top of license with demonstrated proficiency

Incentive/Benefits Package:
  • W2, salaried opportunity with excellent compensation. Based salary commensurate with years of experience including additional stipends: Trauma ($20K), Complex Neuro ($10K) and Pediatrics ($12,500)
  • $75k Start Date bonus offered
  • Time Away from Practice starting at 8 weeks and frontloaded with no waiting period.
  • Premium pay calculated on a daily basis if provider works past their scheduled shift. Premium rate also paid if Clinician opts to pick up extra shift(s).
