To our prospective CRNA teammates,

I am the chief CRNA for Sound’s anesthesia program at Baylor Scott and White – Sunnyvale, in Sunnyvale, Texas. With two years of experience under my belt, I’m pleased to be part of the Sound Anesthesia family. We’ve created a practice we’re proud of, and we are eager to welcome CRNAs who are launching their careers or seeking a change. Let’s take a moment to explore our people, practice, and purpose – the principles that guide us.

People
  • We are a close-knit group of one physician and five dedicated CRNAs.
  • We are a cohesive and empowered team, driven by a shared mission to genuinely support one another. Our unwavering commitment to mutual care and collaboration forms the heart of our collective strength.
  • Our team is diverse. We leverage our varied backgrounds to build a collaborative environment where we learn from each other in our shared commitment to patient care.
  • At the core of our team is a strong sense of cohesion and empowerment. We genuinely support one another, and this shared mission is the bedrock of our collective strength.
  • I was attracted to Sound due to the multitude of opportunities it offers—clinically, personally, and in terms of leadership advancement potential.
  • Sunnyvale is a great place to live and raise a family with safe schools and neighborhoods with great restaurants. We are approximately 15 minutes east of downtown Dallas and offer access to big city amenities in a lovely suburban environment.
Practice
  • Our hospital is a thriving community hospital, where we manage general, orthopedic, vascular, podiatry, and urology cases.
  • We do not handle trauma, OB, cardiac, or high acuity pediatrics.
  • endo and cath lab when needed.
  • Our daily work culture reflects a sense of camaraderie, much like collaborating with friends in a professional and collegiate environment.
  • We are actively looking for an individual with self-confidence, self-awareness, and the ability to recognize their capabilities and boundaries as a provider. This role requires unwavering character and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Compensation will be increasing on October 1 at an annual guaranteed salary.
  • We offer a generous ten weeks of scheduled time off.
  • Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability coverage, a 401k plan with matching contributions, paid medical malpractice insurance, tail coverage, and an annual CME allowance.
  • We maintain a high retention rate because we work collaboratively within our team and ensure coverage for time off.
Purpose
  • Our guiding principle is unwavering: we always put patients first.
  • We highly value supporting growth and development within our organization, providing opportunities for you to explore new avenues locally within the practice or in the broader medical group.
  • As a community-minded team, we actively encourage involvement and contributions to community health and wellness, both within and outside the hospital.
  • Our physician chief and chief CRNA actively contribute to various hospital committees, including those related to medical diversion, medical executive, critical care, and surgery. Although we are a contracted group, we have earned a respected and integral place within the healthcare team.

Baylor Scott & White in Sunnyvale, a 70-bed hospital serving the community since 2009, offers a range of services, including general surgeries, urology, podiatry, vascular care, cath lab services, imaging, and orthopedics.
