- Coverage Needed:
- ASAP - ongoing
- Need 1 PRN CRNA to start immediately and 2 FT CRNAs to start Sept 28
- PRN: 7am - 3pm, Weekends and Holidays are optional
- FT: 7am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Must be responsible for prepping the charts for the next day. Expected to enter the call rotation which includes 24 hour beeper call shifts on weekends. There are no scheduled shifts on the weekends
- Clinical Information:
- Anesthetizing Locations: 6 main ORs, 7 L&D suites, 2 endo suites, Cath Lab/Fluro-Radiology
- Coverage Map: 4 concurrent anesthetizing locations from 7a – 5p; typically 4 CRNAs in-house with 3 MDs each morning except on Wednesdays when there is only 2
- Anesthesia Staffing Model: functions in an anesthesia care team model; anesthesiologist providing supervision of the CRNAs; budgeted for 4 full-time MDs and 5 full-time and 1 part-time CRNA – many long-term anesthesia providers at this location
- Surgical Case Mix: no heads/no heart; orthopedics w/use of regional anesthesia, endoscopies
- New EP service starting but scope of cases not yet know
- Surgical Volumes: ~3,000 – 3,200 annually
- Fridays are the busiest scheduled day, Wednesdays typically the lightest
- OB Volumes: typically 700 – 800 deliveries; 90% are labor-epidurals/C-section; C-section rate ~30%; no VBACs – L&D is on the same floor as the main ORs. MDAs stay in-house when labor-epidural is in place
