Shift Details:

  • Scheduled Work Hours: 40 hours per week, varying between 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts.
  • Overtime: Eligible after 45 hours.
  • Weekend Shifts: Required to work at least one weekend shift per 3 months. Potential for at least one regular shift on the weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) over a 3-month assignment, which will replace two weekday shifts in that specific week.
  • Call Requirements: 1 weekend call shift per month and 2 weeknight call shifts per month.
  • Schedule: Locums will receive their schedule for 6 weeks at a time.

Work Details:

  • Coverage Needed: Continuous full-time coverage, 40 hours per week.
  • Patient Population/Age: Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric (90%+ of patients are over the age of 12).
  • Department Description:
    • Operating Rooms: 17 MOR, 7 DSC, plus specials, cath labs, endo, radiology.
    • Anesthesia Type: Supervision-based anesthesia. Independent practice if at Nampa location.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
  • Hospital Bed Size: 378

Skills Required:

  • Gynecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Craniotomy, Plastics, Pulmonary, Healthy Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology, Structural Hearts, Electrophysiology, Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, MRI.
  • Must be comfortable with Level II Trauma cases.
  • Note: No burns, transplants, open heart, sick pediatrics, or obstetrics. CRNAs will not perform their own Regional Anesthesia/Blocks but will perform Spinal Blocks. Occasionally, they may perform arterial lines (not a requirement). No locums will perform epidurals or central lines.
