Seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to provide comprehensive clinical anesthesiology services at a medical center in Houston,Texas(TX). The ideal candidate will possess a full and unrestricted license and is Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE).

Requirements:
• Full and unrestricted License in any State, or US Territory
• BC/BE
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a CRNA

Responsibilities:
• Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop anesthesia plans.
• Administer all forms of anesthesia and provide intra- and post-operative care.
• Serve on the "Code Blue" team, providing emergency airway and resuscitation management.
• Foster effective working relationships with all staff levels throughout MEDVAMC.
• Apply anesthesia principles to patient care.
• Perform pre-anesthetic patient history and physical exams, including gathering preoperative consults and data to formulate an anesthetic plan.
• Explain anesthetic risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients.
• Prepare the patient and procedural area for anesthesia administration.
• Administer various types of anesthesia with continuous evaluation of the patient’s status.
• Manage post-anesthetic care to optimize recovery and minimize pain.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of anesthesia records and services.
• Stay updated with advancements in anesthesia and work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment to improve services and patient care.
• Collaborate with colleagues in a team concept, demonstrating effective communication and professional behaviors.
• Guide and train anesthesia and medical students.
• Demonstrate skill and adaptability in managing anesthesia for a broad range of surgical procedures.
• Perform clinical and technical aspects of anesthesia care with in-depth knowledge of methods and techniques.
• Integrate technology and skills for advancing anesthesia techniques, pharmacology, and equipment.
• Apply new developments and theories to solve complex anesthesia situations.
• Respond to emergencies with airway management, administration of emergency fluids and medications, and appropriate resuscitation procedures, adhering to patient directives in VISTA.
• Collect and record pertinent data in the electronic patient medical record.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.
