We are seeking CRNAs to join our clients team for a renewable 13-week locum contract assignment. Candidates must have 2+ years' experience working with Peds.
- Pay: $200-$210 per hour
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares and administers anesthetic agents to patients in order to desensitize them to permit the performance of medical or surgical procedures.
- Performs pre-anesthesia evaluation of the patient in order to ascertain physiological and psychological factors which influence the selection of anesthetic agent and the formulation of the plan of anesthetic management.
- Monitors the patient in the operating room in order to maintain the patients in a homeostatic condition and to assure that unnecessary injuries are not inflicted on the patient.
- Records anesthetic information on the anesthesia chart to provide a permanent record necessary for the care of the patient, to provide material for teaching, for study, and to establish a medical-legal record.
- Provides clinical supervision or guidance of nurse anesthesia students, paramedical, and medical students in order to contribute to their clinical training.
- Responds to emergency situations.
- Manages Human Resources activities of department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Competency in the placement of pediatric airway devices, and vascular access and understands or can interpret varied pressure monitoring and lab values.
- Experienced as an R.N. in the critical and acute care areas, especially pediatric or neonatal; is familiar with the use and interpretation of EKG, arterial, central venous and pulmonary artery pressure monitoring; is skilled in respiratory management and blood gas analysis based on therapeutic knowledge
