Job Responsibilities

Works closely with all OR personnel to ensure adequate patient outcomes during and after
surgery.
Communicates well with the recovery room staff.
Works in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other physicians and medical
professionals to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures.
Cares for the patient before, during, and after a medical procedure or surgery.
Administers and maintains anesthesia to ensure proper sedation and pain management.
Oversees patient recovery from anesthesia and cares for the patient's immediate postoperative
needs.
Works closely with patients and their families to ensure proper care and comfort and, as
such is regarded with respect by nursing and medical personnel.
Works independently without MDA supervision
Maintains knowledge of surgical procedures, techniques, and consequent interventions.
Recognizes emergencies and assists in corrective action.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice in the State of North Carolina as a Registered Nurse with a specialty license as a Nurse Anesthetist. Currently certified by the Council of Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist. Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support required.
