Clark Fork Valley Hospital

Balance.  Meaning.  Beauty.  Fun!
These are some of the reasons people have come to our area.  They work in our hospital and clinics in the fresh air of northwest Montana and catch a few glistening trout on the way home. Living in a small town offers wonderful connections to our patients. But Missoula, Kalispell and Coeur d'Alene are all close by for when we need a city fix. Here are a few notes about our opportunities:
* Primary care physicians don't have to take any call and have a 4-day work week.
* Hospitalists work 12 hour shifts and don't have to cover clinics.
* We have a general and orthopedic surgeon on staff full time.
* We believe our providers are key to all we do. They are involved in making key decisions for our future.

Company History

Sanders County, Montana is 117 miles long, running along the Clark Fork of the Columbia River. Our founding fathers wanted to please all three "big" towns, so they named Thompson Falls as the County Seat, Plains as the Fairgrounds, and Hot Springs as the Hospital location. Unfortunately, Hot Springs proved to be too far away for most of the residents, so the hospital was moved to Plains in 1971. It became known as Clark Fork Valley Hospital. Three clinics were added over the years, one in each founding town. In 2004, a large hospital addition was built and CFVH saw a good deal of growth. Today we employ about 250 people and are the largest employer in the county. Our CEO, Dr. Greg Hanson, has served for 30 years as both a family physician and CEO.
