About Baptist Health
Baptist Health, founded in 1955, is Northeast Florida’s most comprehensive health care system and the area’s only non-profit, mission-driven, locally governed health care provider. Baptist Health has over 200 points of care throughout the Northeast Florida region, including our six award-winning hospitals: Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Baptist Medical Center Beaches, Baptist Medical Center Clay, Baptist Medical Center Nassau and Baptist Medical Center South. The most preferred health care system in the region, Baptist Health also includes 57 primary care offices, as well as home health, behavioral health, pastoral care, rehabilitation services, occupational health and urgent care.

Baptist Health is nationally recognized for the use of clinical information technology to improve quality, safety and timeliness of patient care. All five hospitals are fully digital and our entire system is on the leading edge of creating a private integrated health information network allowing for coordination of care across the entire continuum.
Baptist Health was the first employer in Northeast Florida to be named a BlueZone Project Worksite. Blue Zones Project recognizes organizations that prioritize employee health, happiness and wellness as “Blue Zones approved.” To earn this distinction, organizations meet various benchmarks including gaining points for the evidence-based actions and lifestyle principles they have or will implement in their employee programs and resources. Baptist Health offers team members a range of holistic programs and resources, including:
- Healthy for Life: A team member wellness program that provides access to health and wellness coaches, incentives encouraging adopting or maintaining healthy lifestyle activities, and more.
- Employee Resource Groups: Promoting diversity and inclusion, our team members lead 11 employee resource groups committed to team member connection and engagement.
- Employee Assistance Program: An emotional and mental support program that provides up to seven yearly no-cost counseling sessions to team members and their families.
- Learning Education and Assistance Program: A professional development reimbursement program that supports higher education and professional certification to advance learning and foster career advancement.
- Team Member Care Fund: A short-term emergency assistance fund run by team members for Baptist Health colleagues experiencing unexpected financial hardship, such as the loss of a family member or loss of work due to illness or injury. Nearly 1,500 team members contribute to the fund, lending a helping hand to those in need.
