**Psychiatry Opening In Paducah, KY**_x000D_ Full time_x000D_ Permanent_x000D_ Primarily adults_x000D_ _x000D_ Position Overview:_x000D_ This position can be full or part-time and is exempt from wage and hour regulations. This position provides an array of direct_x000D_ services to meet the psychiatric needs of FRBH consumers. This position may also be responsible for a variety of tasks that are_x000D_ nonetheless essential to the smooth functioning of FRBH under the heading of Miscellaneous. Medical Practitioners report_x000D_ directly to the Medical Services Center Site Administrator, but will receive administrative oversight when on-sight at other FRBH_x000D_ primary or contracted locations._x000D_ _x000D_ II. Major Tasks / Responsibilities_x000D_ _x000D_ A. Programmatic Consultation, Supervision and Oversight_x000D_ 1. Conducts, as assigned, clinical staffings to facilitate proper diagnosing and treatment planning for consumers._x000D_ 2. Establishes and maintains, under the direction of the MSC Site Administrator, productive consultative_x000D_ relationships with the medical communities in the FRBH region._x000D_ 3. Reviews the clinical needs of Consumers and recommends program development efforts to address those needs._x000D_ 4. Cooperates with Site Administrators to assure smooth functioning of shared responsibilities to consumers._x000D_ B. Direct Services_x000D_ 1. Provides high quality evaluation services to consumers._x000D_ 2. Provides medically-recognized treatment to consumers including, when appropriate, prescribing and monitoring_x000D_ FDA approved medication(s)._x000D_ 3. Ensures appropriate consumer education has been conducted regarding prescribed medication._x000D_ 4. Administers/dispenses medications as deemed appropriate and within scope of practice._x000D_ 5. Provides case-specific consultation for the FRBH emergency services system, as directed._x000D_ 6. Performs psychotherapeutic or case coordination services as assigned._x000D_ 7. Performs screening services for contracted entities, as appropriate._x000D_ _x000D_ Must possess either:_x000D_ A degree from an accredited college of medicine and hold a Kentucky Medical License and be Board_x000D_ Eligible or Board Certified to practice psychiatry in Kentucky; or_x000D_ A degree from an accredited college of medicine and hold a Kentucky Medical License and be in a clinical_x000D_ supervisory relationship with a Board Certified Psychiatrist; or_x000D_ A degree in nursing and hold a Kentucky Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License in_x000D_ Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing and be in a collaborative practice agreement with a Board Certified_x000D_ Psychiatrist._x000D_ B. Experience in a community setting preferred._x000D_ C. Must have a valid drivers license and insurable driving record._x000D_ D. Clinical supervisory experience preferred._x000D_ E. Must pass all required background checks prior to employment and annually thereafter.
