University of Vermont- Central Vermont Medical Center Pediatric Primary Care in Berlin, VT needs one locum for full time/ every week coverage from May through August.

Description of Work: General Outpatient Pediatrics, newborn nursery, delivery support. This is a traditional outpatient clinic and Newborn Nursery open Monday through Friday from 8 to 5 and Saturday mornings. This position does include overnight call of approx 2 nights per week, with delivery attendance. Less than 300 deliveries per year. Occasional parent phone calls with RN telephone triage. Occasional ED consults, mainly by phone.

The ideal candidate has several years of experience and will be willing to participate in nursery rounds and delivery support.
Breakdown of Clinic Days/Sessions and/or OR Days: 8 four hour sessions/week
Schedule of Days/Times Needed To Work/ Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5pm, with overnight call approximately 2 nights per week, with delivery attendance. Also may be asked to cover an occasional Saturday morning
For on call nights: Average number of phone calls per shift is maybe 1 or 2. A little more if it's a holiday weekend, but pretty minimal. Sometimes pager doesn't go off at all.
Patient Load: 16-18 per day
Procedures: Neonatal resuscitation. Must be NRP Certified. No need for any other procedures.
Board Certified Required
Certifications required: BLS, PALS
Is there additional support staff? Clinic is well supported with RN's, LPN's and MA's.
Is the provider working solo or with other providers? If so, whom? This is a group practice with physician and APP colleagues as well as Network provider support.
Are there mid levels? If yes, is the locums provider responsible for mid levels? Our APP's do not require supervision.
