**NP/PA Oncology opening in Bakersfield, CA** - Location: Bakersfield, CA; Los Angeles 110m **Position Details:** - Full-time, permanent - Employed - Under supervision of a physician: - Secure clinical data from patients - Provide specified medical services to patients - Manages certain patients in the Emergency Department - Be responsible for on­going management of selected groups of patients - Do related work as may be required by the supervising physician within the scope of his/her licensure. - Dependent upon area of practice or department assignments, demonstrates clinical knowledge and skill in the care of the newborn, infant, toddler, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient ranging up to 100+ years of age. - Performs other related services under the supervision of a licensed physician, as permitted by standardized protocols and within the scope of their licensure. - Performs other job-related duties as required. **Compensation and Benefits Details:** - New Hire Bonus: $6,000.00 - New Hire Premium: 6% of base rate of pay, matched up to 6% if contributed to Deferred Compensation Plan. - A Comprehensive Benefits Package: includes Holidays, Paid Time Off, Retirement, Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance. **Qualifications:** - Licenses & Certifications in Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner required - Depending on assignment incumbents may be required to possess and maintain specific certificates of competency as a condition of employment: - Completion of an approved educational program for Nurse Practitioners; current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California which specifies that the individual is licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife. OR possession of a valid certificate issued by the Board of Registered Nursing authorizing use of the title Nurse Practitioner. OR completion of a Physician's Assistant training program approved by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance AND possession of a current valid certificate issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance. - Possess a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card at time of hire.
